Established in 1975, Terry Mogg began trading as Focus DIY (named after one of his favourite bands of the time) in Kenn Road, Clevedon, supplying the then small seaside town with hardware supplies. Within two years the business had outgrown the location and with the help of his father, Ray, he relocated to the current position in Teignmouth Road.
The business continued to grow and with the introduction of timber cutting facilities the store was able to provide a full service for the ever-growing population of Clevedon. Mike joined as a Saturday lad in 1986 and worked his way up the ranks, joining Terry in the business in 2007. Having a keen eye for stocking what the Customer needs, Terry and team expanded the range over the years and now cover all aspects of DIY, supplying anything from a single screw to a pack of timber decking. With the arrival of another store with the same name, we became Clevedon DIY Centre. Not the most imaginative of name changes we know, but it does what it says on the tin.
Helping the Customer has always been the priority and with the ever-changing face of retail, the ethos has remained the same; simply, if you serve the customer well, they’ll want to shop with you again.
